As a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer at Trustonic, you will play a crucial role in expanding our secure platform’s reach across mobile and automotive sectors. Your primary responsibility will involve integrating Trustonic products onto diverse SoC platforms, specifically ARM-based systems. This role demands a deep understanding of low-level systems and a passion for security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate Trustonic’s secure products onto various ARM-based System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms for Mobile and Automotive clients.
  • Perform embedded and low-level system software development, including kernel drivers, Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) features, and OS functionality.
  • Conduct rigorous debugging and testing of embedded software, ensuring robust and secure implementations.
  • Act as the primary technical interface with our Support team in Asia, or directly with SoC providers and OEM customers, translating complex technical environments into clear solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical problems and solutions effectively in fluent English to customers and internal teams of varying technical skill levels.
  • Proactively manage customer escalations for high-priority or severe issues, facilitating efficient resolution through tickets and troubleshooting sessions.

📌 Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a technically autonomous and highly experienced engineer with a strong background in embedded Linux and security. The ideal candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in software development using C and C++.
  • Proven expertise in Linux Kernel Driver development.
  • Extensive experience with Platform BSP manipulation (Android, Linux).
  • Ability to autonomously learn, discover, and navigate code within external BSPs.
  • Mandatory experience in Low-Level Embedded Systems.
  • Familiarity with Linux Kernel drivers or Firmware development.
  • Knowledge of Mobile OSs and associated tool chains, including Android, Linux, and feature phones (RTOS).
  • Proficiency in Embedded Software debugging techniques (RAM dumps, traces capture and analysis, Lauterbach tool).
  • Strong knowledge of Android BSP, development kits, SDK, NDK, and experience in Android application development, particularly focused on Android DRM and Media Frameworks.
  • Expertise in Security Embedded Software development environments.
  • Experience in integration projects, platform bring-up, and debug camps.
  • Knowledge in script-based automated tests suites.
  • Deep understanding of Stacks, Drivers, Linux Kernel, Cryptography, Memory Firewalling, Cache memory management, Power Management at energy transition levels, and open-source best practices (Git, SW Licenses).

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience providing support in JIRA and Zendesk.
  • Familiarity with Linux build systems such as Yocto and BuildRoot.
