As a Local Childcare Coordinator, you’ll be an essential link between GreatAuPair, host families, and au pairs. This dynamic role involves both community outreach and direct support, ensuring a successful and enriching cultural exchange experience for everyone involved. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Host Family & Au Pair Support:
  • Screening and interviewing new host family applicants to ensure program suitability.
  • Conducting welcome calls and in-home orientations for new au pair arrivals.
  • Providing ongoing support and resources to host families and au pairs throughout their placement.
  • Facilitating mediations to resolve any placement difficulties and ensure positive outcomes.
  • Attending annual host-family-day events to foster community.
• Program Growth & Compliance:
  • Actively promoting the GreatAuPair program within your local community (Alexandria, VA area) to educate and recruit potential host families.
  • Developing and maintaining exceptional service standards that encourage repeat customers and valuable referrals.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all U.S. Department of State regulations for au pair programs, including reporting any violations promptly.

This is a part-time contract position offering a flexible schedule, with an average commitment of 15 hours per month. Through independent sales initiatives, you have the potential to significantly increase your hours and earnings, working up to 30 hours per week.
